I need help getting started with my research. What options do I have?

 

Help is only a click away! YTC Library staff members can help you troubleshoot library database access issues, find relevant books and articles, create citations, and so much more!

  • Library Subject Guides:  To get started, you can visit the Library's  Subject Guides  page to see whether your course has a library guide. Don't see your course listed? Don't worry! The Library offers both general subject guides and course-specific guides you can use to get started.
  • Live Chat:  The Library offers a live chat service from 8 am - 12 midnight, every day, including weekends and closed during holidays. You can access the "live" chat widget (box) on the Library's  homepage  or by clicking here.  The chat is a great way to get help if you're working on your research in the evening or on the weekend!
  • Email/Phone:  Do you have general questions? Please send us an email to  library@yorktech.edu  or call us at (803) 327-8025 during our open hours.
  • Zoom:  The Library research and Instruction staff  offers 1:1 Research Assistance appointments? 1:1 Research Assistance appointments are a great way to get personalized assistance with your research.  Please request your appointment by phone at:  (803) 327-8025  via email at:  Library@yorktech.edu   or get on "live" chat using the chat box on the  Library's website
