How do I sign up for Hoopla?

Hoopla provides access to popular materials like audiobooks, eBooks, comics, movies and more! Current YTC students, faculty, and staff can borrow 25 titles per month through Hoopla. You will need to create a Hoopla account before you can begin borrowing.  Follow the steps listed below to create your Hoopla account.

  1. Visit   https://www.hoopladigital.com/
  2. Click on the "Get Started" button
  3. On the Hoopla Welcome Page, click "Lets Go!" 
  4. Find Your Library, select York Technical College or type it in the search box and click “Next”
  5. On the “Connect With Your Library” page, enter your Library Barcode Number within the Library Card Number field. (Note: Your Library Barcode is 003996 + your 7 digit Student/College ID numbers)
  6. For Library PIN, type in your York Tech email address (This is because York Tech Library does not issue PIN numbers like the Public Libraries).  Then click “Next”
  7. Re enter your York Tech email address  
  8. Enter your preferred password for Hoopla to complete and finalize your registration. 

You will now be able to log in with your York Tech email and the password you created!
